This is about Death and how it possibly could feel to someone,. the freedom it must give -and yes I know I'm 16 and what-the-heck could I know about the subject of death when I'm young and haven't even had a NDE to prove anything but the point is that Death can impact someone's life from any age, therefore why is it such a shock to some people that elderly people sometimes try to prolong their youths just to prove that they are still 'hip' just so they won't have to face how they old they are getting.
Wow, I think this kind of turned into a little contradiction here.

It's my 16th birthday today! :)
 
Meaning(s) of the set:
It's about a grown woman (the one in the blue dress) and she's overcome with nostalgia and thus is thinking about her childhood - where have all the years gone? - the little girl holding the cup of coffee; I'm just guessing here, is actually the woman in the blue dress, however in her mind's eye she feel like a little girl.
As she is looking out the window of her flat, the memories swell to the surface and the little golden pocket watch -that she has had since her childhood; maybe since she was seven- 'brings' to life her memories. Sitting in the swigs with her sister, playing hide and seek with her friends, hearing her parents argue, the warm winters and the cold summers filtered through her mind; what an odd contradiction, -nature sure was funny- she mused. Camping outside with the warm fire with its slowly dying embers and eating sweetcorn.
Sipping her coffee she asks herself, when did we grow up so fast?
The black and white city landscape - all the places she has visited.
The building - shows all the place she have visited but only in her dreams
The bird - freedom, and hence why it 'pops' out of her golden pocket watch first is because it symbolises the simplicity of her earlier life
The Pink blossom tree - is was the tree outside her bedroom window.
 
And in one little moment / it all implodes. / This isn’t everything you are! /deeply in the silence,no sudden moves.

Meaning of the set ;) :
Elena's eyes with the 'missing' pieces in the corner is meant to show after her parents died she felt as if she had a lost a part of herself and she found a small part of herself in S & D.
 “We met & we talked & it was epic but then the sun came up & reality set in.” – to Stefan
 “You and I, we have something. An understanding.” – to Damon
# Half her face being covered with the clock is meant to symbolises ‘Timeless beauty’ that is Elena – the face of thousands of vampires.
# The poppy picture meant to show that in place of her grief her love for Stefan, and growing love for, Damon is growing.
# The ‘?’ mark, the mirror and the mask is about how people on the show have gotten her confused with her Vampire doppelgänger; also so far, we only know that there were three people who shared the same face(s) as Elena, or should I say Tatia, and that must confused Elena. Especially so as it was not long before she was a normal teenager who had her loving parents to find out that not only was she adopted, albeit it was her family in a way, but that she shares the face of whom the Salvatores fell in love with and fell in love with he too.
 The mask, quote from the Pilot, when she talks about having to say ‘I’m fine at least 37 times’. And I also think that she has changed a great deal over the length of the show, emotionally the most.
# The Crow – as we all know is what D come shapeshift in the books.
# The ‘Sands of time’ timer – Elena’s choice on the brothers is, effectively, running out and is she the last doppelgänger.
 And is Eternity really all it’s cracked up to be?

Melody Pond turning into River Song.
- With the Doctor's presence always being 'there' in her life.
The book symbolises their relationship - the tumultuous nature of their timeline of another adventure ending to another starting somewhere not too far off.
The tree of life - the library where the Doctor first meets her.
The suitcase - she is always prepared for adventure.
The book - her studies about Gallifrey and her diary.
River is position, almost, as if she is pointing a gun toward the Doctor.
The Doctor never stays in one place for too long - always running - cities, planets, etc.
- his postcards are the 'footprints' he has left behind and the stories waiting to be told to those who didn't get to meet him.

So this being the 8th time I tried this – after the one with the Doctor Who set has since kind of evolved into a fanfic; which in turned into two fanfic – I’ll merged the two shorts together soon – I might uploaded it on here. Anyway enough of my babbling .
The task at hand is that I’m making ten sets – for 6 people I chosen to make them a set after they made me one for Christmas.
Rules are...
that the sets will be a New Year gift, as I don’t celebrate Christmas, the sets will be revealed at midnight on New Year’s Day.
All you have to do is pick a number – will be on the set – and leave a comment of your chosen song so I can added it to the set. : )
